Sizing Information:

You may be finding it difficult to decide what size to order. The first step is to check out your wardrobe and identify a previous purchase and try to establish where it was manufactured. If unable to identify previous brand names or sizes follow these instructions and refer to the diagram:

Also, refer back to the Information Tabs on the Home Page and select "Brand ID & mm Information".   Here we have provided each Brands  innershoe length and width measurements that will further assist in understanding your own size.  Knowing your innershoe measurement will greatly assist you in your selection when ordering by mail.

Length: Draw around your bare foot with a pen. Draw a straight line from the back of your foot to the end of the big toe. This gives you your length.

Width: Draw a line across the widest part of the foot.

A - Narrow fitting
B - Average fitting
C - Slightly wider than average fitting
D - Wide fitting
E - Extra wide fitting

Feet Petite sources from several countries in a variety of American and European sizes. We try extremely hard to ensure supplies of good fitting shoes but unfortunately have no control over how manufacturers mark their shoes.

Foot Measurement Device

We recommend you take the time to measure your feet on our Brannock measuring system at the next Open Day. You can record and leave your measurements with us for future reference.

 Different Size Feet

Over half the population has one foot that is half a size different to the other. If this causes a problem for you, try a half or a full sized insole inside the shoe for the foot that is smaller. A boot repairer can also lift the innersole lining, glue in a permanent innersole and re attach the lining. Also, we do recommend you try the new clear gel innersoles that are now available. They come in full and half lengths. These innersoles are extremely durable, do not fray or hole or absorb foot odour. The biggest plus is that they can be worn undetected with sandals, slingbacks and strappy shoes.

Foot shapes

Bunions. This is a large lump on the inner part of the foot at the ball. They can often be painful. Try not to choose shoes that have a strap that goes over the bunion that would put unnecessary pressure on this area. Choose only the softest leather and allow for plenty of room as your foot warms up.

High Arch. Select shoes that are cut lower in the front. Look for boots that have zips to completely open the shoes allowing the foot easy access. Higher heels are especially flattering.

Narrow Heels. Always choose narrow fittings to prevent the foot slipping . T-Bar shoes, ankle straps and any laced or buckled shoes are the best. Avoid elastic or stretch panels.
